![]() Sunshine who worked around the pool was always smiling and very helpful with anything you might need. Claude and the pool bar was a great guy full at the of stories and conversation sometimes he might just need a wingman. Janel at the front desk is a wealth of information, very kind and you can tell she loves her job. There are a few people you must meet if you travel to this location. Listening to the stories of the hurricane and how many of the employees managed it all was amazing. The resort has come a long way from a devastating hurricane and covid. The resort and setting is beautiful and peaceful. We traveled with a group of 8 to this property. So, no, we will not return to this resort. There were a lot of Americans staying there so, no mask or social distancing for them when waiting to be seated in the restaurants or when getting their food at the buffet…it bugged me. ![]() Anyway, there are definitely not enough parasols because there is no palm trees to give any shade. There is absolutely no room around the main pool or chairs with a parasol available if you sleep past 5 am unless you’re not ready to run to the beach or the pool to pick a spot. ![]() Entertainment is so so … there was a rock group one night that gave quite a great performance but the other singers that were there the rest of the week were … meh …. Claude and his son Dominic are wonderful beings. The great plus is definitely the staff: they are the nicest people in the world (Theogene, Evelyne and Antoinette particularly!). Olio and Portofino never open the same day (not a good idea) … Market Café (buffet) was pretty nice. Three restaurants a la carte: Olio, Portofino and Himatsu. A lamp was broken, wall paper was scratched and screws holes in the wall of the bathroom that they didn’t even bothered to repair (weird…) Food was pretty good but we could have used a little more variety. Although, it looked like it was a little dated even though it opened in March 2020 and was closed until only recently. We were there from February 26 to March 5 2022. ![]() ![]()
